i've been trimming my own hair for nearly 20 years. when i was a teenager, my mother put one of those home-perms in my hair. up until that point, my hair was STRAIGHT. since that perm, it's been a semi-curly, frizzy, annoyance. about 5 years ago i discovered the flat-iron and have been straightening it almost daily --- til today. i walked into a hair salon for the first time since 1990/1991 and had a "real" trim, and while we were at it, i had it straightened... permanently. Caroline also got a hair cut - she doesn't look that much different either (she's afraid of change - LOL), but i did have the girl layer it, so hopefully we're done with Little-Miss-Rat's-Nest for a while too!
